Introductory course to horticulture including: plant physiology, plant biology/botany, and plant structures, photosynthesis and respiration, photoperiods, and sunlight. Practical applications into plant maintenance and care, soil sciences, pruning, plant nutrition.

Horticulture Sciences & Practices Lab

Horticulture lab with reports, tracking various experiments relating to horticulture. Experiments were continued and observed from week to week, then the final observations and conclusions reported whenever the experiment was finished.

Service learning 10-day trip to Guatemala focused on the coffee crop and its production. Research project on socioeconomics of coffee in Guatemala.
